Foods that are healthiest for women

There are foods that are very good for the enhancement of human health, and are also especially good for women in that they enhance feminine health in their unique configuration. These are basically foods eaten in their natural and non-processed forms. Such foods include:


Tomatoes
Tomatoes contain lycopene, an antioxidant which protects against breast cancer and heart diseases.Tomatoes cut in large slices, coated with olive oil, oven-cooked and seasoned with garlic powder and served with chicken is an excellent woman friendly dish.

Beans
Edible beans, in their assorted varieties, have proved to be generally a perfect food of all time, but it has also been noted to be especially very good for women. A cupful of beans, when cooked can supply 17 grammes of fibre. Besides, beans are very rich in protein and numerous other nutrients including most women-friendly nutrients such as magnesium, calcium and potassium. Research shows that there is a strong link between eating of beans and reduced risk of breast and colon cancer, high blood pressure, heart diseases, and type 2 diabetes.

Eggs
The yolk of eggs contains multiple nutrients that are not easy to come by including choline, which is known to lower breast cancer rate, and antioxidants which prevents cataract and boost muscle health.  It is recommended that an egg a day is good for every normal person, except those who have heart diseases and should only take egg yolk about twice a week.

Guava
Guava is a tropical fruit which is very rich in skin-healing nutrients, especially Vitamin C, with about 250 per cent of RDA in each serving. A cupful of guava contains almost five times as much Vitamin C as one orange. The fruit is also very high in lycopene content. It has about 26 per cent lycopene more than a tomato. We have already indicated that lycopene is the nutrient that combats heart diseases, Guava also protects against listeria and staph, which are food borne pathogens.

Olive oil
Olive oil is rich in unsaturated fats that are healthy to the heart. It lowers bad cholesterol and increases good cholesterol. It also helps in reducing the risk of cancer and Alzheimer disease because of its high content of antioxidants, especially when the oil is extra virgin.

Lemon
The flavonoid compounds of lemon is packed full with anti-cancer nutrients, as well as a high concentration of Vitamin C. Adding a little quantity of lemon to tea helps the body to absorb more of healthy antioxidants.

Breast of chicken

There is a high concentration of phosphorus in the breast of chicken. Phosphorus is a superb ingredient for strong teeth and bones. Breast of chicken also contains niacin (Vitamin B3) which prevents high blood pressure and keeps the arteries healthy. A serving of breast of chicken also provides 25 per cent of the daily need of Vitamin B6 for the boosting of the brain and immune system.
