A landlord identified as Sola
Solomon, in the Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos
State, has allegedly poured petrol and set fire to one of his tenants, Abeeb.
As the victim struggled to put out the flames, the 67-year-old landlord allegedly pushed him down from the top floor of the three-storey building.
Abeeb was reported to have landed with a thud, as the flames engulfed his whole body.
The young father of one, who is said to have been a new tenant in the compound died in the engulfing flame.
The cause of the tragedy is said to be
connected with a disagreement over the use of the toilet in the compound.
