The English Premier League defending
champions, Chelsea, will not forget
Sunday, August 16, 2015, in a hurry. Maybe they should mark the date in their calendar
as Black Sunday: The day the suffered a scandalous defeat in the hands of their
last season’s runners up, Manchester City.
If the match
had ended with the first half score line of when they were one goal down,
Chelsea, probably wouldn’t have dented their reputation the way they did after the
final 90 minutes, when they had gone down with two more goals, ending the
encounter three goals down.
With this
result, the Jose Mourinho tutored boys need a complete win in their next
encounter to keep up their morale for the season, having had a barren draw in
their first march against Swansea City.
The Blues played so badly that an analyst,
Shahan Ahmed said “Losing 3-0 did not truly reflect his (Mourinho’s) team’s
performance on the day. Really, it should have been 4, 5, or 6 to nil.”
With such a wobbling start, can
the Chelsea successfully defend the EPL title the won last
season? Let
us all watch out, perhaps Jose Mourinho,
the Special One has some special tricks up his sleeves to turn around the
tide currently running against his team.
